Disclosure: I received a complimentary package of “Reese’s Pieces Peanut 1.8 KG” in exchange for my review. All opinions are 100% my own. This post may contain affiliate links.
Christmas is almost here! This is the time of year where we loosen the reigns on the candy rules at our house. We will grab some treats like “Reese’s Pieces”, “Oh Henry!” Bars and “Twizzlers” and watch Christmas movies together, making memories that I hope will last a lifetime.
Each “Reese’s Pieces Peanut” candy has a peanut center that is surrounded by creamy peanut butter and covered in a candy shell. It tastes like the original “Reese’s Pieces” only with a peanut center.
The nutritional facts are listed on the back of the bag. A serving size is 13 pieces and has 200 Calories, 11g Fat (6g Saturated, 0.1 Trans), Cholesterol 0mg, Sodium 30mg, Carbohydrate 22g, Fiber 2g, Sugars 18g, Protein 5g, Vitamin A 0%, Vitamin C 0%, Calcium 2% and Iron 5%.
The ingredients include: Sugar, Peanuts, Partially Defatted Peanuts, Hydrogenated Palm Kernal Oil, Palm Kernal Oil and Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Corn Syrup Solids, Dextrose, Colour, Confectioner’s Glaze, Corn Starch, Modified Corn Starch, Salt, Lecithin (Soy), Carnauba Wax, Artifical Flavour, Corn Syrup and Milk Ingredients.
When we opened the bag, many of the candies were cracked and chipped and covered in a white powder. While it didn’t affect the taste of candies, it did affect the visual appeal of them.
The candies come in a resealable bag that stands on its own. I love that I can portion out a serving size and keep the rest fresh for another day.
