The kids love to hang out at the pool during the summer. They have an action cam and love to create fun underwater video
The “Odoland Snorkel Set” comes with diving mask, snorkel, fins and carry bag.
The snorkel has a closing valve that will seal as you dive under the water and will automatically re-open when returning to the surface. The mouth piece is soft and stays in place with a gentle bite.
A quick release snap attaches the snorkel to the mask to keep it in place. The snorkel pulls on the straps of the mask and makes them twist and would sometimes slip into awkward angles and make it uncomfortable to use.
The mask has a wide viewing angle and good suction but is very uncomfortable to wear. It hurts the bridge of the nose as well as the forehead.
The fins measure 16.5 inches from end to end. There are snaps on the side that all you to adjust the size. The rubber on the bottom prevents slips and falls. The rubber on top of the fin fits comfortably on your foot. It does not cut into the top of your foot. The fins have a stamp of ML/XL 9-13 on the bottom but fit smaller sizes as well, although they are obviously a little looser.
The fins work well to propel you quickly through the water. The straps around the back of the ankle are comfortable and designed with the shape of the heel in mind.
It quickly became apparent that technique and skill are involved when using a mask and snorkel. Not having much experience using a snorkel and mask we found this set difficult to use when compared to our experience using a full face snorkel mask.
