Disclosure: I received a complimentary “Gpeng Full Face Snorkel Mask” through the Amazon Vine Program in exchange for my review. All opinions are 100% my own. This post may contain affiliate links.
I had the opportunity to go snorkelling while on vacation in Okinawa many years ago. It was an amazing opportunity to see the beauty that lies just beneath the water.
The “Gpeng Full Face Snorkel Mask” comes with the mask, snorkel, camera mount and pin, rubber ring, rubber gill and instruction sheet.
The mask comes in two sizes S/M and L/XL. Be sure to measure your face to determine which size is best for you.
The snorkel fits onto the top of the mask. A rubber ring seals the connection to prevent any leaking. There is a floating ball that will close off the tube which prevents water from getting into your mask and mouth when submerged. It will automatically re-open upon returning to the surface.
The snorkel fits on the mask at an angle that keeps it from going under the water as you swim.
The camera mount snaps onto the snorkel tube. You can adjust the position of the mount by sliding it up or down the tube.
The mask has a rubber seal which prevents water from getting into the mask. The rubber goes around the outside of the mask as well as around your nose and mouth.
There are adjustable elastic straps to hold the mask in place and are sewn together in the back. This may cause an issue for those who wear their hair up while swimming.
The mask is light when you are wearing and also seems to help keep me afloat while swimming.
Be sure to rinse the mask off after each use to remove and dirt, sand or chlorine and hang the mask to dry out of direct sunlight.
The design of the mask allows me to breathe through either my mouth or nose and for that reason makes it an excellent choice for a beginner like me.
The “Gpeng Full Face Snorkel Mask” allows me to focus on the moment, rather than the equipment and I look forward to using this mask on our next beach or pool trip.
