Finding the right curling iron for my fine hair can be a challenge. I was very impressed by the “gdh Flat Iron” and thought that I would like to try the “ghd Curve Iron Curl, Classic”.
The “ghd Curve Iron Curl, Classic” measures 10.5 inches from tip to tip, and the heated portion of the barrel is 4.4 inches long with a diameter of 1 inch.
The curling iron heats up in 8 seconds to a consistent heat of 365 F. The On/Off button flashes dimly and gets brighter until it reaches the correct temperature and then stays lit. The curling iron has an automatic sleep mode and will shut off after 25 minutes of non-use. I love this safety feature as I am one who always questions if I unplugged things.
The tongs open easily. The handle stays cool to the touch and there is a safety stand that helps prevent your hand from sliding up to the hot part of the barrel during use. You can also use this to keep the hot barrel off the counter when not in use.
There is a protective cool tip gives you a safe place to hold while you curl. The tip is graduated to fit comfortable in your fingers.
The cord is approximately 9 feet long with a Push-to-Reset circuit breaker.
The cord also has a swivel end that allows you to wind the wand around your hair without the cord getting all tangled up.
The barrel stays hot for an extended period of time after it has been turned off. Be sure that it has completely cooled before touching it or putting it away. You only need to hold your hair on the curling iron for 5-8 seconds.
The “ghd Curve Iron Curl, Classic” give loose tumbling waves with minimal effort on your part, the curling iron does all the hard work. The even heat and comfort handle makes styling your hair easy and efficient.
*Disclosure: I received a complimentary “ghd Curve Iron Curl, Classic” through the Amazon Vine Program in exchange for my review. All opinions are 100% my own.
