When my son was a newborn, sleep was hard to come by. It wasn’t until a friend made my son a “Swaddler” that I was able to sneak a few hours of much needed sleep. This “Swaddler” was the thing that dreams are made of. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a friend with such amazing creative skills to custom make a “swaddler”, so what’s a new mom to do? The “SwaddleMe” Muslin Blankets are an excellent choice.
The “SwaddleMe” blankets are made from 100% cotton muslin. Initially, they felt rough in my hands, and I wasn’t convinced that they would be suitable for a newborn’s sensitive skin. After a wash in cold water, followed by a quick tumble dry in the dryer I was pleased to discover that my blanket has become noticeably softer. I found there was very little shrinkage if any, after putting it in the dryer.
When my son was born, I tried using receiving blankets to swaddle him. I found them difficult to use. The receiving blankets were either the wrong shape, wrong size or just to bulky and warm. The “SwaddleMe” blankets are large, measuring 40×40 inches. They are also lightweight, perfect for these hot summer days and nights.
“SwaddleMe” blankets ‘Black and White Swirl’ are gender neutral. They come three to a pack, and fold up small enough to toss into a diaper bag. They can be used as burp cloths, nursing covers and stroller covers. Now that my little ones are bigger, I plan on keeping one in our “go” bag for outings where we need a quick blanket to sit on or a quick wrap to throw over my shoulders.
The blankets would make a wonderful gift for any new little one.
