This summer we have been staying out at the campground. My kids love it out here, but at night there are different noises than at home, noises that frighten my kids. The squirrels running on the roof of the camper, people sitting around the campfire and so many other sounds that make it difficult for my children to fall asleep. We get around this noise issue by adding more sound to the mix, an album of beautiful lullabies to mask the sounds around them.
“Beyond a Lullaby” is a beautiful album to that will soothe and calm you, right to your soul. The composer Amy Scurria dedicates this album to her daughter, Lily and you can feel the love in every song.
My children love to listen to this at night and I do too. I can hear the strains of the music in our room and often fall asleep listening to soothing melody of “Heart of the Earth” and other songs on her album.
My children like things that are familiar. While most of the songs were new to them, the recognized “Lavender’s Blue, Lily, Lily” and “Brahms, Little Baby, Brahmas”. It was a comfort for them to know these songs when they were sleeping in an unfamiliar place.
“Beyond A Lullaby” is the last thing my children hear at the end of the day and the first thing they wake up to in the morning. It’s a wonderful day to end and start the day. I love to hear the soft sounds early in the morning. Helps us all spend a few minutes waking up and organizing our thoughts for the day.
“Beyond A Lullaby” would make a beautiful gift to anyone who struggles with falling asleep at bedtime. To listen to samples of the music or to purchase please visit:
