At the end of a long day, we sometimes need a reminder of how much God loves us. When the kids are screaming or when Mommy is grumbling it can be hard to remember that. “God Loves Mommy & Me” is a beautiful children’s story about how God shows how much he loves us in the little everyday moments.
“God Loves Mommy & Me” is beautiful story that celebrates the love between a mother and her child, and the God who loves them both. It is a gentle reminder to parents and children of how much they are loved.
I love how the author, Bonnie Rickner Jensen, has taken the little everyday moments to show how much God loves us. Each moment is something that my children can relate to. One of our favourite things to do in the springtime is to blow the dandelion fluff, the story reminded us that it’s one of the ways that God shows us how much he loves us.
The story is full more great moments to share with your little one. All to often when it rains we become grumpy and upset. I love that the story shows the Mommy Bunny playing in the mud puddles with her little ones. It shows that God even sends the rain to show us that he loves us. Playing in the puddles at the campground is one of the things we do when it rains. People always look at us funny, but we still splish, splash and splosh. “God Loves Mommy & Me” reminds me that I need to cherish these moments with my children.
The illustrations by Laura Watkins, are beautiful. They are soft and have a comforting feel to them, absolutely perfect for bedtime. The characters are adorable, you can see the love that the mother rabbit has for her little one in every page. I love the expressions of Mommy and Little Bunny when they are playing on the slide. You can see the fear in Little Bunny’s eyes, and the look of encouragement on Mommy Bunny’s face.
“God Loves Mommy & Me” is a wonderful story to share with your children at bedtime, or anytime, to show them the special ways that God and Mommy love them. Purchase your copy today on Amazon or other major retailers.
